Editorial Policy
Last updated: May 2026
1. Editorial principles
BytePress operates under the principles of quality journalism: accuracy, impartiality, independence, accountability, and harm minimization. All content we publish must meet these standards, regardless of whether it was drafted by an AI system or reviewed by a human editor.
2. News selection
The news we publish is selected through an automated system that assesses relevance for our technology readers. Selection criteria include:
- Relevance to technology, AI, cybersecurity, startups, and programming sectors.
- Recency: we prioritize news from the last 48 hours.
- Source diversity: we do not rely on a single agency or provider.
- Automatic rejection of sensationalist, clickbait, or factually unsupported content.
3. Content generation process
Our editorial workflow combines automation and human intervention:
- Source ingestion: we aggregate news from multiple verified APIs and RSS feeds.
- Filtering: a scoring system discards low-relevance or low-quality articles.
- AI generation: a language model drafts the article following editorial templates with clear structure and no clichés.
- Quality review: articles go through automatic checks for coherence, length, and tone before publishing.
- Publication: approved articles are published with a clear indication that content was generated with AI assistance.
4. Editorial author
Articles on BytePress are published under the byline "BytePress Editorial Team", representing the editorial system as a whole: verified primary sources, language model, and editorial oversight. We do not attribute articles to fictional individuals.
5. Corrections and errors
If we detect a factual error in a published article, we correct it without deleting the original. Significant corrections are marked with a note at the beginning of the article indicating the correction date. To report an error, write to webchella@gmail.com.
6. Advertising and independence
BytePress displays contextual advertising from Google AdSense to fund the service. Advertising revenue does not influence news selection, editorial tone, or the articles we publish. There is no sponsored content without explicit disclosure.
7. Privacy protection
We do not publish personal information about private individuals without their consent. In news involving individuals, we stick to information of public relevance.
