AI-Powered Technology Journalism

Transparency about AI use at BytePress

Artificial intelligence is a fundamental tool in our newsroom, not a replacement for journalism. This page explains precisely what AI does, what human editors do, and what limits we set for ourselves.

What AI does

Article drafting

A language model (Claude by Anthropic) drafts articles from multiple verified sources. The AI synthesizes, not invents: it works with information already published by reference media.

Multilingual translation

Articles are automatically translated into Spanish, English, French, and German, adapting register and style to each language.

Thematic classification

An AI system assigns each article to its thematic category (AI, Cybersecurity, Startups…) based on content.

Quality filtering

AI evaluates the relevance and quality of each story before drafting it, discarding low-quality, sensationalist, or irrelevant content.

What AI does NOT do

  • Invent facts, quotes, or statistics.
  • Publish without passing through quality filters.
  • Access paywalled or non-public information.
  • Generate editorial opinions or political positions.
  • Attribute articles to real individuals.

AI model used

We use Claude (Anthropic) as our primary generation model. Anthropic is an AI safety company that publishes its responsible use principles. If we change models, we will update this page.

Our ethical limits

Honest attribution

Articles are signed as "BytePress Editorial Team" and never as fictional human authors.

Verified sources

We only ingest content from registered sources verified by the editorial team.

Active correction

If AI produces a factual error, we correct it as soon as we detect it and flag it in the article.

Recognized limitations

AI can make mistakes. We are not a fact-checking outlet. For critical news, always consult primary sources.
